meet the Founders - aditya Indla
Aditya Indla is one of the founders of Project Aegle. He is currently working as a research volunteer at UCSF Tobacco Research Center under Dr. Suzaynn Schick, to support the conduct of clinical research on the health effects of exposure to secondhand and thirdhand cigarette smoke.
He was one of the 30 anti-tobacco advocates invited to join Gov. Gavin Newsom in August 2020, for the signing ceremony of SB 793, legislation to ban the sale of flavored tobacco in California. He has been actively engaged with elected officials at state and national levels towards implementing anti-tobacco policies
He is an Emerging Community Leader Intern for the UCAN-ACT project with Breathe California, working towards updating Tobacco retail policies in various cities in Alameda county. He holds multiple leadership positions in youth and general public oriented anti-tobacco activist organizations.
He conducted multiple presentations and workshops to raise awareness of the dangers of tobacco and attended various conferences to gain increased understanding of tobacco issues. He is currently a junior at Bellarmine College Preparatory School in San Jose, CA. He has been recognized by the U.N. Secretary General's Envoy on Youth as one of the "Young Leaders who Inspire you to Change the World" for his work to supply PPEs during the COVID-19 pandemic. |
