south asian communities tobacco usage survey

This survey is targeted at members of the South Asian community. The purpose of this survey is to identify the usage patterns of cultural smokeless and tobacco products such as Gutka and Hookah, as well as other cultural chewing products such as Paan and BetelNut.  We also plan to use this survey to understand parental attitudes towards discussing tobacco usage in South Asian families.

The goal of this contest is to raise awareness of the use of cultural tobacco products such as Gutka and Hookah by  creating posters related to this issue. This is a great way for competitors to be educated on cultural tobacco dangers and become advocates to the community. We hope that the competition will encourage individuals of all ages to learn about this issue that is unfamiliar to many people.

healthcare professionals cultural tobacco awareness survey

This survey is targeted at primary care providers and dentists who  serve the South Asian community. The goal of this project is to identify the level of awareness about the dangers and usage patterns of cultural specific tobacco in the medical community. This also aims to identify whether medical professionals have noticed any patterns of health issues in the South Asian community specific to tobacco use.
